He was the son of Bull Lea and Armful.
Armed is rated #39 in a list of the "100 Greatest Race Horses of the 20th Century", a book by author Jacqueline Duke.
He was the son of Case Ace and Coquelicot and won 14 of the 32 races that he started.
He was owned by O. White and trained by W.M. Jeffords.
